AIDS Awareness Society (AAS), a non government, non-profit and secular organization, was formed to devote all its efforts towards the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. It was established in 1993, as AIDS Awareness Group (AAG), by a group of highly professional and motivated individuals who are committed to the cause of bringing about an attitudinal change in the Adolescents and young people and high risk group i.e., PLHA and Sex Workers (SWs) for prevention of HIV/AIDS. In 2001, it was registered with Societies Act XXI, 1860, as AIDS Awareness Society (AAS) and since then it is serving the humanity under the banner of AIDS Awareness Society (AAS) with coordinated group work, critical appraisal and field-testing; the team develops messages and mechanism that suit the need of addressing the issue in an acceptable, understandable, pragmatic and culturally sensitive method, for the prevention of HIV & AIDS, improvement of maternal health and education of sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

Sahil is the only organization in Pakistan that works exclusively on the issue of child sexual abuse and exploitation. Sahil was established in 1996 as an NGO, to ensure the protection of children. As stated in Article 34 of Child Rights Convention (CRC) "State parties undertake to protect the child from all forms of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse."  Sahil Vision is that “No Child has to be a victime of CSA". Sahil Mission is to create a better future for the children of Pakistan through advocacy, creating support systems for children, awareness on body protection, enhancing legal and psychological services for victims of CSA.

Sahil work involves research, awareness raising, legal advocacy, intervention trainings, crisis intervention, free legal aid for victims, publications and the resource centre. Sahil works for Intervention Prevention and Protection. Sahil also works with the government regarding child legislation issues.

We are a small but efficient community-based organization addressing the social problems faced in particular by the local female sex workers and their children who suffer from poverty, health issues,  crime,  child abuse,  child labor,  rape,  untreated sexual diseases and  illiteracy. Sheed Society strive to strengthen Health, Education, Environment in our community the Red Light Area of Lahore,  Pakistan since 1995.
